As I said before, my next prenatal appointment is today, and I have to drink the glucola stuff to test for gestational diabetes. I just KNOW I'm going to fail this. My mom did, and countless other women I've talked to failed theirs, too. If I fail the first test, I'll have to come back and take a three hour test! This means I have to drink something that is twice as sweet as the first one, but I won't be able to eat or drink for three hours. And I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure taking away a pregnant woman's food is like taking a mama bear's baby away from her.
Besides that I'm getting huge...nothing out of the ordinary. The aches and pains are a little worse than normal, though. My left leg and back gets a little tingly when I sit on the couch for a while. I'm having some balance issues, too, but that shouldn't surprise anyone.
Egg salad. Yeah, I know.
He weighs a little over two pounds this week, and he's supposed to be the size of a cauliflower. His eyes are opening, and his sense of light and dark is heightened. He's also sleeping and waking in regular intervals, and he might be sucking his thumb.
